Privacy policy

Last updated 9 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Aptitude Agency Ltd ("Aptitude", "we") collects through this website, why, and what rights you have. We are the controller of that information. Aptitude Agency Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 06922078. You can contact us about privacy at our contact page.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry

If you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, the type of enquiry, your company or website if you give it, and your message. We use this only to read and reply to your enquiry and to keep a record of our conversation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where you are asking about working together, taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement.

Enquiries are processed by a Cloudflare Worker and delivered to our inbox using Cloudflare Email Sending. To protect the form from spam we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks signals from your browser to tell people and bots apart.

Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are read and how people arrive. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) only after you choose "Accept analytics". If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

We store your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again on every page.

Videos

Some blog posts include YouTube videos. These load from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain only when you press play, at which point YouTube's own privacy policy applies.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run this website and our email: Cloudflare (hosting, security, form processing and email delivery), Google (analytics, only with your consent) and our email hosting provider. Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or a UK adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with them and for up to two years afterwards, unless we go on to work together, in which case they become part of our business records. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, contact us at our contact page. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We will update this page if the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
